Graduate Admissions Requirements
Master of Science (M.S.) or Ph.D. in Community Health
To be considered for admission, you’ll need the following:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 in your last 60 hours of undergraduate work and any graduate studies. For Ph.D. applicants, the minimum grade point average is 3.5.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- A personal statement.
- Your resume.
- Official transcripts.
- Demonstrated academic and quantitative preparedness for graduate-level studies. This will be assessed through your prior coursework, work experience, and recommendations.
Optional Submissions
- GRE scores are not required, but can be submitted if you believe they’ll strengthen your application. If you choose to submit them, please scan your official report as a PDF and attach it to your application. If sending directly from ETS, use university code 1836.
International Applicants
- If English is not your native language, you must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores (no more than two years old) for full admission:
- IELTS: 7.5 minimum
- TOEFL (iBT): 103 minimum
- For teaching assistantship consideration, non-native English speakers must achieve a minimum speaking sub-section score of:
- TOEFL (iBT): 24
- IELTS: 8
